True.
When I worked at the RNC (ok, it was a while ago), I never saw the slightest hint of religion in the building or at any event or on amy employees' desks. Not one iota. The biggest donors and fundraisers there had nothing to do with the religious right. I have no idea as to all their personal beliefs, but I honestly never saw a hint of it there and I definitely ran in those circles in those days. The largest donors and fundraisers were usually self-made gazillionaires and their spouses. We always said that those guys' money was what kept the lights on in the bldg., but the real money that went to campaigns were the countless checks for $25-$50-$100 from the grassroots activists. That's where the real money comes from. Now, I can speculate that a lot of those folks are hardcore pro-life, church-going folks. And their money made up the bulk of the party's money. But they weren't the people who got phone calls from the chairman or who voted at the committee meetings or decided which campaigns got how much money from the party.
