First snow today.
Fall is always so busy, just getting ready for winter. The last few weeks I've:
-Raked an insane amount of maple leaves
-Limed the lawn
-Put the winter tires on Regret-a-Jetta
-Got Regret-a-Jetta inspected... brake lines, suspension bushings, exhaust. Also put in new glow plugs & starter
-Sealed up any drafty windows ("windles", local vernacular)
-Stacked 4 cords of firewood in the basement
-Cleaned the chimney ("chimley", local vernacular)
-Welded up the snow plow for Sammy the Samurai
So finally, the snow hit us today. They are calling for 10-20cms. That's cool with me... I'm done all my work and now I can just enjoy the winter. Big fires, long nights.
You guys ready for winter? What are your winter rituals?
I suppose for many of you, that just mean driving with the top up!
