I don't think that apartment building is there. The university raised tuition big time after I graduated. Developers tore down a lot of the old apartment buildings and they are now mostly brick-faced, high-end student housing.
I paid $220 a month in '99-2000 for my apartment at 400 W. Vernon ($880 total with all four roommates). I think average student housing now costs $800-$1,500 a person off campus--that's right around my mortgage!
