That is not what I was hoping you would say, but it does not surprise me. I will have to continue the disassembly of the rear suspension etc, and when all is done is if it is as bad on the other side as well. As with the front, I will probably have to do a general rust search, and then assess the best form of attack. I am to far into this project to stop now, and if some people here can return cars from the dead, I am sure I can manage this one.
Any advice on form of action? Do I have to replace the complete rear shock bar, or just cut our and replace the rusted part. Under closer inspection, it is just that small part which is rusted, the inside and further down the shock bar it is solid.
