I hear this term thrown around. I'd like to make sure I understand it.
The "original" 1911 was the Colt model 1911 in .45 ACP that was adopted as a military sidearm.
The way the term "1911" is now used, it refers to any clone of that gun, or really anything chambered in .45 ACP that looks similar and has a hammer, correct?
