war is hell, and to speak with the "greatest generation" is about the greatest gift that can be bestowed upon you. most will not speak about it ever.
we won world war II hands down because we were not politically correct! what the hell does that say about us now.
the atrocities we commited "take no prisoners" was a pacific and a european commonplace everyday occurance. it was kill or be killed! none of this crap "you cant shoot until they shoot at you" or " you cant shoot until the IED blows the hell out of the ABRAHMS tank and kills all of your buddies"
when our government figures this out in IRAQ and AFGHAN, alot of GI's will come home alive instead of being in a body bag.
bottomline after speaking with my dads friend in the BULGE, it was KILL or BE KILLED! no minceing words, no B.S!
my dad taught me one thing about guns that has ALWAYS STUCK WITH ME. " if your gonna point a gun at someone.............you better shoot him before he shoots you! pretty somber advice!
