This really is not even similar to the Katrina situation, don't remember anyone shooting at rescue helicopters or refusing to evacuate then complaining about the lack of response. New Orleans is still trashed for a number of reasons, foremost the lack of effort by the local community down there to put things back together, rather than sitting on a pile of rubble saying woe is me, President Bush hates black people, etc, etc, etc

Regardless of what you may have read, this area, except for the govt. reliant segment, is largely rebuilt. Your comments would be equivalent to me stating that all Californians are skate punks or hippie. I know ya'll got 'em, and we have welfare dirtbags. Hippies didn't make CA great, & welfare recipients didn't make New Orleans the city it is. BTW, there are lots of people here that have worked tirelessly to rebuild their lives that would probably loosen your teeth for inferring that they were "sitting on a pile of rubble saying woe is me."
