i've "restored" plenty of the back windows that were brown and fully glazed
go to a plastics shop and get a bottle of Novus - it comes in three grades (1,2, and 3) - the higher the number the more abrasive - #2 usually does it, but i have had to use #3 on really bad ones - most effective using a dual action buffer, but can be done by hand
