i am with dhaines on this. hadn't had to chase any rust, but looking for the right car for 11 months makes me want to not chase any at all. i bet i don't use more than 2-3 gallons of water washing it just to make sure. a local body shop that does a lot of pcar work says that many people flood their cars with water and don't properly dry their cars. just asking for trouble...
