If it's in a normally warm place, you must be careful of that initial rain. The water can rapidly cool the asphalt causing the pores and cracks to open where all the oils over time are stored. This brings all the oil to the surface of the road, which now takes a while before there is enough rain to wash off the oil and expose the asphalt again. When the rain starts, i've been told because of this the first 10-20min of rain are the most dangerous. After that it becomes a measure of resistance to hydro planning, which will depend on your speed and/or condition of your tires.
