A wag friend of a friend proposes that Walmart build a series of Super Duper Walmarts smack against the border that span between our border towns and cities - customer entrance on U.S. side, employee entrance on the Mexico side - problem solved and both countries benefit economically

Or how about the gumnt excercising their power of eminent domain and moving our military bases (we've got a lot of them in deserts now) to span those same distances along the border - that might pose a real deterrant, no?
