If there is a schism in parenting between my parents and those you accuse of inner angst (or the prevention of), I'm thinking you're on a bug hunt.
If anything, the spawn of my era resembles the demon seed...and the only thing we protested was
not having designated smoking areas in high school. All the heavy lifting had been done and some of us seemed to have raised our kids aimlessly.
