It's a bit of a hash, but my comments are underlined.

But that's not what happened. It was post after post after post of the same old stuff. If I want that, there are numerous porn sites only a click away.

I don't see how entertainment for EVERYONE had to be hijacked in order to titillate the most obviously indiscriminate among us

*Woop woop woop, morality judgment alert Woop woop woop*.

I for one felt a bit ripped off by not being able to enjoy a good momentary bit of entertainment ... "Oh, but I waaaaaaaahhhnt to look, so everyone else has to change to suit me... and I'll couch my selfishness in piety, sanctimony and 'objectification' language."

... I could say, "hey check this out" and have it be a conversation piece before going back into work discussion with them. It's a bit harder to do when it's some chick's snatch or naked tits. Same goes for at home with peoples' wives/significant others. If you've got weird or random stuff on the screen, it's typically things ANYONE can enjoy or take interest in. If it's gratuitous nudity, there's an automatic assumption that the viewer is a pervert and wacking off under the table while talking to you. Eww.

See the distinction? I see a 'you' problem, with where/when and with whom you want to view and share. I also stipulated that there are understandable "degree of nudity" or "prurience" restrictions, and I think Z handles that pretty well. If it's a question of frequency (an "OCCASIONAL" hottie) ... then that's an issue of what the members, the posting participants of the thread want ... the "market"; it's NOT what You believe a thread is "supposed to be". A thread, or any expression of discourse, "becomes" what it's "supposed to be." You don't like it --> you problem. Don't look, and you won't have to worry about what others think or assume. See the simplicity of the result of you taking responsibility?

Want to get your rocks off and post your titty pics? Fine. Put it in a "NWS" thread or the grid girls thread or something else where most people will know enough not to open it when they're not at home with the blinds drawn and the lights off.

So, again, you are incapable of not looking and/or starting your own thread ... it's everybody else that must change to accommodate your sensitivities, viewing patterns and the circumstances under which you want to view and share. "You" problems becoming others' problems. And I don't think it's a surprise to anybody that's spent any time here that there may be NWS pix on the RPT -- it's not exactly an ambush or a trap for the unwary.

And yes, that gal from page3 is pretty hot too, FWIW.
So RPT became something you didn't want... and therefore, it was "hijacked". There are a lot of you issues in the foregoing post, a few of which I've highlighted. You want, you thought, you want to share, you want to look at work, you, you you. But it's all of the guys posting what they like to see that are selfish and wrong... because they're denying you what you want.

In short: "Everybody else change, so I can look at something I want to look at, whenever and how ever I want. And it's everybody else that's wrong and the vast majority should start their "own thread", so I can enjoy and control the direction of "my" thread in the manner I, and not the majority, deem appropriate. Because that's what I want."

There may be other, subtle and/or sanctimonious ways to express the foregoing, with liberal heaps of disdain for any male who would want to (or, even, not object to) see scantily clad women -- but that's what this all boils down to.

"I have a right not to be offended, which means that the rest of the community, which has expressed what it wants by virtue of what's actually being posted, must conform to what I want, and to what I believe the thread should be."

No respect for that. JMHO.
