The best numbers I could get were between 8-12K to get it legal. Being active duty there was a way to ship it but then safety updates, and engine back to stock (with extras in household goods) then getting it insured was a hassle to begin with.
I executed short notice orders and didn’t have a chance to even clear my own house and get the movers to get my stuff (had a friend be there for the pick-up)>
I was just going to dump the car for a slight loss (2k for 2 years of fun and basic no hassle transpo when I was on Oki) but a GySgt. who worked for me talked me out that COA. Basically I let him clean up the seats, touch the paint, and a few other odds and ends then sell the car. He made money and I rec’d $800.00 more than I paid for it.
Still would have been fun around here…
