3. Avoid evening sedative drugs, ie, alcohol and sleeping tablets.
4. If the problem is ongoing despite the above, strongly consider a CPAP machine. Apart from the risk of being strangled by your sleep deprived partner, OSA is an independent risk factor for cardiac disease, ie Heart attacks, heart failure. Also there is strong evidence that the daytime solomneance associated with OSA sleep is a significant risk for trauma (Motor vehicle accidents, industrial accidents, etc.)
