I also think it's a classic, elegant and understated watch. I have two datejusts, one is almost 40 years old and another newer one. Both are worn regularly and have proven to be durable and in my opnion have a timeless design.

I would recommend you also look at datejusts, I believe the only difference vs. the Air King is more options on bracelets and bezels but the thing I like is the date window. I use it quite a bit and don't think the price difference is that high between the two models.

I would also not recommend thinking of it as an investment. Like our cars, you would have to buy a rare and expensive one and not use it. Buy it because you like it and know you'll probably have it forever.
