Does driving your 911 tend to attract accidents?
My friend with his 993 cab and I had this discussion today about this subject and we are not really sure if it just our imagination or bad driving skills, but does it seem that driving your 911 seem to attract people into getting into an accident with you? We are both excellent defensive drivers and have had many different cars over the years without incident, but it seems to us that when we drive our Porsches, its almost like we have to treat everyone around us as a suspect trying to create an accident with us. We have noticed, "or imagined" people that tend to lurk in our blind spots, drive close in front of us and hit the brake, people trying to speed across the intersection in front of us when they see us trying to make a left turn, ect. ect. I myself had a disputible accident with a "ghetto" driver which drove alongside my rear while I was backing out of a parking space at a bank last year. He claimed it was my fault and attempted to sue my insurance company for $90,000 of personal injury for himself, his wife, and an imaginary third passenger (and my Carrera had zero damage). My insurance company gave them $2250 to end it. When we drive other vehicles, such as our trucks, or cars, we could be driving practically asleep at the wheel never even get remotely close to having any accidents with anyone(knock on wood). I have noticed that I get pulled over more by the cops in my red cab for stupid things than my other cars by a ratio of like 5:1 based on mileage. Have you guys had any similar experiences?
