Banging and slamming is sadly a fact of life in most spec series. The cars are evenly matched and many drivers use the front bumper to create passing opportunities. It can be very irritating following a car for lap after lap and not have a clean chance to attempt a pass, so the slamming comes into play. Most guys simply accept the fact and learn to patch fenders after every event. It doesn't sound like much fun to me and I really don't enjoy watching races that resemble bumber cars. I watched part of the race but lost interest after seeing almost every pass result in bent parts and cars off track.
