I gotta tell you, I find other motorists' reactions hilarious. My other car is a '73 Datsun pickup with rust holes, black primer fenders, duct tape....you get the picture. Motorists will do ANYTHING to get in front of me, even when I'm doing 85 mph (nearly max for that truck). They'll pull out in front of me, they'll pass on corners, anything.

In the 911, I daily see at least two motorists in front of me turn their blinkers on to get in the fast lane, and then just shut the blinker off. A few seconds later, they blink again and move into the passing lane. You know what's happening. They want to give me the right of way, thinking I want to drive fast.

Cars approach from the rear and instead of passing, they slow down and match speed for a short time.

Anothe thing I notice is that while females notice the car (it's so 'cute'), it is the males that stare. I can recall breaking up a tongue-wrestling match between a couple of young people on the sidewalk. He nearly pushed her down to get a look at my car!

So yes, I'd agree it is a distraction. Ever more reason for increased vigilance at the wheel. And aggressive driving behavior....well....hormones will be hormones. I generally win those drag races by not participating. Occasionally I'll play ball and win it the old fashioned way.
