Jason Saini is a friend of mine, and yes, he has a great opportunity to use MX-5 cup as a spring board into bigger and better series. He's an incredible driver, drives clean, and I would expect him to be competitive in the Speed World Challenge series immediately. Watch for him in the Touring class.
He also won his class at the 25hrs of Thunderhill, 3rd overall, with TEAM MER. Not a bad year.
Mazda does an excellent job promoting from within and provides a path to take you from club racer to professional, provided you are good enough. Hate to say it, but they are to racing what Porsche use to be.
