if your taking it to one of those self wash places, definatly keep the engine running. This applies to any car, not just the 944's. Before you do though I would wonder about the green & red non stock wires with inline fuses on them. What the heck are they for? Some engine cleaners do best when the engine is hot so check them before you use them. Most of the self car wash places also switch over to using warm water during the winter monts too. Just be careful when you spray around the distributor.
