When I was 17 I got popped for doing 155 in a 45 in my dad's MB 500E. I pulled over as I thought I knew the cop and I figured he would be showing up at the house any way so I better deal with it out there. I pull over and wait and wait. Finally the cop pulls in behind me and I realize it was not the one I thought it was. He comes to the car and screaming and yelling at me. He calms down enough for me to say "I did stop" At which point he told me I had 30 minutes to get some one out there to come pick me up and drive the car home or the car and I where taking a trip.

I called a buddy and got him there with a few minutes to spare..... All said and done I lost my license for 3 months and got to start paying my own insurance

Was driving the elf back from Wilmington and somewhere around Rockingham my wife and I where discussing a possible move to Wilmington - was a beautiful day - 4 lane divided highway - I am following a clapped out pick up truck. My radar detector starts to sing. I scan the area and see the cop on the other side of the road already working someone. I ignore him as he can't get to me and besides I have my rabbit ahead of me. A few miles down the road I look in the mirror and I see a cop behind me with his lights on. I look down and I see I am running about 3500 rpm in 5th. I pulled over, I have my license and registration ready.

The cop asks me if I knew how fast I was going and in honesty I answered "no sir, I was following the truck ahead of me, my wife and where talking about moving and my mind must have wondered, I apologize if I was speeding"

He then asks me if I knew what the speed limit was again I had to plead that I did not know. He came back with "You where doing 75 in a 25!!!!!!!"

Of course at this point felt a lump in my throat as I had no idea the limit was 25 and I had visions of my wife having to drive my 911 and she can not drive a manual at all.

He asked me if I had any tickets currently and I answered "No sir" as they had all dropped off. He came back with a warning ticket. I puttered the rest of the way home.

Was coming into work one morning in my Jetta TDI. A nice opening formed and I blasted up to about 90 at which point my V1 lighted up like a Christmas tree. I couldn't see him so I slowed and proceed to get off at my exit. When I came to the light I stopped right next to an identical looking Jetta 1.8t - the cop rolled in behind me and I could see him trying to figure out who was the target. The light turned green and I took off in second gear so I would leave plenty of soot - the 1.8 not seeing the unmarked car took off pretty hard.
