C2s have dimples to clear the clips on the back of the rockers. you have to make them on pre-C2 cars. i don't have the measurement from the door sill down to where you drill the hole. maybe a visit to a wrecking yard would help. there's a red, pop in grommet that grips the pin on the rocker clip. make sure the hole is the right size for the grommet to snap in tight, without side slop. the dimples on the rear sharkfin kickup are the hardest, so the easiest way is to cut a square hole for the clip to go thru, and use a large homemade cupped washer on the inside of the body. a 6-8" notch needs to be cut out of the vertical lip on the rear flare to get the rocker to fit right. you are committed if you start this job.
