Ok, I've had a look through my storage boxes and here's what I've got:
2.4E complete engine, (now in bits), with MFI. Everything is in good order and the cases are 4R/5R halves.
90mm Mahle cylinders.
90mm Mahle MFI pistons.
66mm non-counterweight crankshaft and rods, from a 'T', if I recall correctly.
I'm aiming to build an engine for my project car and am leaning towards a short-stroke, so I'm thinking of putting the bits together and building a 2.5SS MFI motor. Obviously I'd have the cases shuffle-pinned, etc.
Couple of questions for you:
1 Will the parts go together to build such a motor and will it survive or be a very expensive bang?
2 Would the MFI pump need major alteration?
3 Are the 'E' cams the best option for an engine that will see track work but that still needs to be useable on the road?
