Its not what you spend to "BUY" the car, its what you or the next owner will spend to " fix" and "keep" the car. Why wait until spring? This is a great time of year to sell a car.

So the car needs electrical work, a tranny and possible paint? Say you price the car at 15k for example...........would you still be happy to own the car when you have 30k into it? When you look at other 30k cars now - does the same money buy a better car or worse car?

If you know that you're going to sell it - don't put any more $$ into it. Be as honest as you can ( which it seems that you already are) and work to find a good home for the car. The new owner will surely have to be prepared to put some $$ into the car - just as you did while you owned it.

Looks like a solid start for someone and that you can you use the proceeds to improve your other car.
