I bought my 88 from e-bay from a local party. I told the seller I would pay the buy it now price subject to a PPI. He agreed so I went ahead and paid the buy it now price with a $1,000 deposit. Seller was nice about the transaction. He agreed to refund the $1,000 deposit if the car didn't pass the PPI. Not sure if I would buy again from ebay as I consider my experience to be good only because of the seller.
