I have a recently-purchased stock 89 with Steve's chip [as of just a week ago] and can reiterate the comments WRT mid-low end and daily driveability improvement. I especially like the smoothness up thru the gears and revs.
I did not probe the higher end limits on this car before installing the SW chip though, so I don't have comment in that arena.
