I'm actually kind of surprised all the Ron Paul stuff I've been seeing around here also. Few bumper stickers and what-not. Heck, yesterday I went out for a run along the beach and someone had dug in huge gigantic letters "RON PAUL" into the sand so people standing up on the bluff could see it. Kinda' cool.
I want to like the guy, but there are some things I'm not sure of. For one, a co-worker of mine sent the following link to me today, where Paul is bumbling around and looking like kind of an idiot on camera.

This isn't going to help him against the likes of a Mitt Romney, who has the whole "looking presidential" thing down pat. Yes, he's totally fake and manufactured, but appearance counts for a lot (just ask Kennedy and Nixon).
The whole thing about him supposedly not believing in evolution too is a major red flag. Although I can't find any definitive link to him saying it (just a rumor possibly).
Giuliani might be tolerable if he wasn't an illegal alien sympathizer. Same with McCain. Huckabee scares the crap out of me because of his ties to evangelical Christians - no way on this earth I'm voting for someone that would start chipping away at the wall between church and state and pushing a religious agenda. No way. So who's left on the (R) side? Not much.
The (D) side is worse. There's Hillary - who is NOT Bill, doesn't have his brains or diplomacy skills and who is a dyed-in-the-wool pinko communist masquerading as an American. There's Obama, who thinks that charm and good looks alone (no experience) can make him a sensation. There's the trial lawyer Edwards. Ugh. None of them appeal to me very much.
