Heating Oil Prices

We got a delivery of heating oil today, as evidenced by the nasty little packet hanging on the doorknob when I got home. I was hesitant to open it, but just about crapped when I saw $3.50 per gallon. If I pay in 10 days. Otherwise, $3.60.

Fer chrissakes, I paid only $3.15 per gallon for a tank of premium in the car tonight. What's wrong with this picture? We live in a 115 year old Victorian, which we're gradually making more weather tight, but right now, our "mileage" ain't so great, and these prices are killer. And I haven't even heard the familiar yearly excuse from Oilco of "aw, gee, I guess we didn't make enough heating oil this year".

Who else heats their house with oil, and what are you paying per gallon? This really sucks.
