The last time I remember my fingernails being completely clean was my wedding...10 years ago.
I use the blue nitrile gloves when I'm working with or around chemicals, or changing oil-but when I'm "wrenching", it's just me and the grease.
My wife has standing instructions to bury me with grease under my fingernails, a 9/16" Craftsman combo wrench in one hand, and a screwdriver in the other.
(If she dies first, I'm sticking the TV remote in hers.)
