I use them for a quick lunch or dinner when camping sometimes. Most of the meals are actually pretty good and will fill the belly when you eat the entire meal. If you eat the stuff cold, it leaves a little to be desired, but the heaters really do a good job. As a side note, the gas given off by the heater is hydrogen and makes for some entertainment when you have a few matches. If you let the gas build in the bag and release it into a flame, a nice fireball is produced. The boys in our scout troop find this to be even more fun than eating the meal.
