As we get older we sleep less. Lots of reasons, I suppose, but I believe it's reduced fitness combined with increased stress. Try to fix those two things and you'll benefit regardless.
Exactly. You need to break the cycle. NO COFFEE in the afternoon. No nap. Nice big bowl of pasta for dinner and you'll sleep like a baby.
