Well....maybe we can use the most simple tools. The computer should be turning on the fuel injectors.
Next question:
1. After cranking, can you smell any unburned fuel from the exhaust? Don't be shy, stick your nose up to the exhaust. Raw fuel will be obvious.
2. A secondary to # 1 (and cheap test) could be to buy an injector test light ($10 at NAPA). You should see it flash. This would confirm the computer is pulsing the injectors.
3. Can you tell if the fuel pressure regulator is opening and closing (it should be letting fuel out of the fuel rails to be returned to the tank)? It is on the left rear of the engine, attached to the fuel rail. A helper can feel the valve open and close. It should cycle once or twice a second. Or do you have a way to confirm fuel pressure - there is a test port on the injector rails.
