used the Renu franchise in Rockville, MD and paid more than $400 ($500 or so as i recall) and my tank was not bad at all, just didn't want to play games with the fuel system after the local radiator shop couldn't get the inside clean enough for my liking. based on what i saw there i paid the Porsche tax.
the finish quality on my tank is sub-par for a Porsche, maybe not so bad for something where the tank isn't front and center when you open the trunk.
overall i was not impressed but don't know of any other viable option.
btw, they are doing a DIY tank refinish, just in a large buidling instead of your garage. there is nothing 'special' about their process.

Well i had #6 adjusted perfectly but then just before i tightened it a butterfly in Zimbabwe farted and now i have to start all over again!
I believe we all make mistakes but I will not validate your poor choices and/or perversions and subsidize the results your actions.
