Great idea. Squirrels are amazingly resourceful and it's quite a job getting a bird feeder set up that they can't get to but the birds can't.
And yes, that would be good amusement for hours watching them go sailing.
For added fun, put a pool of water under the feeder.
Of course it'd get a bit messy from the seed husks landing in it, but still. . .
