Having said that, there could be other factors that would make it worth more like if it was in uncirculated condition, was a "star" note, unique serial number or from a small printing run etc.

I have 2 $50 bills that are 1934A.

I did some research. Not star notes, nothing interesting about the SN, etc... I don't really think I lost much from the tear.
