I just find Macs are so much easier for newer users. I'm not certain I'd want to give a new user a Vista machine. Talk about getting phone calls during your dinner hour.

Agreed Vista is bad. Laptop w/WiFi is required so no Mini. I can setup an XP desktop with one click access to her stuff (email, docs, etc...) that's ~ equal in simplicity to a Mac but even that is going to be a stretch for her...I may need to get a new (unregistered) number
