If you read the interview with Neil about that performance you posted above, he was very upset about it. He said he hadn't gotten to practice more than a few min. with the rest of the band before they all had to go to other gigs for the night and then on show night, he couldn't hear them at all. He's kind of a cranky guy anyway and he pulled it off. But I think he's only gotten better in the 20 yrs. since that Buddy Rich concert.
