From '84 to '86 the M491 Turbo Looks came with no emblem on the rear deck lid. The spoilers delete cars also came with no rear deck lid emblems.
From '87 to '89 they came with a Carrera emblem from the factory. There was a no cost delete option to have the factory not install it.
'87 to '89 G50 Carreras had mild styling changes like the different rear reflector and H5 headlights. That's also when they started adding the Carrera badge at the factory.
Sadly, as the other replies say, many Turbo Looks were victims of posers who added the Turbo badges later. At one time there was even a turbo exhaust tip that you could weld on to a 3.2 muffler to make it look like a turbo exhaust.
