The Craftsman jack that I got in about 1980 was a great jack until the seals started to go last year. (
I think it was made by Lincoln for Sears) The new Craftsman stuff is junk in more ways then one.
I decided that with the length of time that I expect to use such an important tool that it was worth it to choke down the price and get the jack I really wanted:
The AC DK13HLQ. It is so good that it changes how you think about getting under the car. Lifting the car with my old jack took a bit of planning and was done in multiple stages. Now it is just, "
Lift it".
- It looks like Wayne is currently having trouble getting the DK13HLQ but there are a few other places out there that have them. (One in Florida has free shipping!)
BTW - Does anyone know a
good jack repair shop? The main cylinder of my old jack needs new seals and I would really like to have it as a second jack.
