Don't use the valve studs.

Reattch your engine cross-mount and put some eye-bolts through the mount holes. THat will lift the rear of the engine. Bolt your engine stand tolk to the trans-area and lift the front of the engine with that.

There's no good central place to lift with a single chain. I like to use 3 points, two at the rear, one at the front.
