If you really want a professional-level jack that will last a lifetime (and rebuildable), you cannot do better than Hein-Werner. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Racing jacks can be had for a little less $$$, but these are made for occasional use only.
I've lost 2 friends to cheap jacks and jackstands so I am VERY particular about what supports the car when I am working on it.
