No doubt about it, the Giants outplayed the Packers.

It was a bit ridiculous to watch Burress outplay Harris for the entire first half before Sanders (Pack defense coach) came out of his brain dead and started having Bigby (#20) give him some help. I think that at one point Burress had 11 balls thrown at him and he caught 8 and two others were penalties on Harris.

I actually like Mike McCarthy as a head coach but I think that NFL coaches are among the slowest thinkers of any group of professionals on the planet. The way that they try to defend big recievers with midget DB's is so fuking stupid that it defies logic, common sense, and description! IMHO.

About half way thru the first quarter it became obvious that Grant was not going have a Seattle like game...or anything close. The Giants appeared to have 6 or 7 guys in the box all the time. So why not do what the Packers did the first time they played they Giants and go with 4 or 5 wideouts much of the time and go with the quick short passes?

I know it's easy to be a Monday morning QB but we were saying it in the second quarter!

Unfortunately, Brett did revert to his old habit at the end. I didn't see a real good replay of the final INT but it sure looked like Grant was wide open under Driver and if Brett had taken the short pass to Grant it still would have been a first down or more. Just a bad decision/throw.

Difficult for me to think that Brett will retire with such a young team and great receiving corps. They will most likely lose Ruvell Martin to free agency but the other four wideouts plus TE Donald Lee should be back...and except for Driver who may lose a step...all could be better.

I'm guessing he's back. Maybe just hoping.
