Hi guys,
Posting these comments just for discussion not to start or perpetuate an argument.
I'm not saying that the $55K car is worth that however it's worth more than in the $20's. To get that $17.5K car to the state of completeness of the other would push that car well into the $20K's. The add also conspicuously makes no mention of potential rust whatsoever.
Now as far as the comments to the $55K car go.
1. No A/C. So? It wasn't a given that these cars came with A/C (many/most did not) and aftermarket dealer installed A/C was often a hack job anyway.
2. I don't know enough about how the overlay dashes work but this appears to me to be a complete dash whether it's original or not and not just an overlay.
3. It looks to me like the front trim is indeed on the drivers door pocket. It just isn't reflecting light back to the camera well.
4. 73's did not come with a 911 emblem on the glove box
Now on the other hand the interior appointments look correct (leather, carpet etc. are of the correct materials/pattern). The engine compartment looks tidy. The external trim looks good and the front bumperettes are there.
I'm sorry but to me thats one nice car from the photos and easily a car that would potentially sell above the $30K mark. Again a lot depends on PPI and an in person assessment but this car and the $17.5K car are in different leagues.
