On a smaller scale, I've sure read a lot of posts here by Republicans who say they disagree with Bush on lots of major issues (like spending, budget, immigration, etc. etc. etc.)

The folks on one side of the aisle came to that conclusion several years ago. Heck, if it could pass the Straight Face Test, Republicans would still be singing his praises. But......it doesn't. Again, the real difference here is how long it took the second group to figure out that Dubya's agenda, the Republican agenda, had become conspicuously transparent.
