Instead of having the lawyer write up a series of questions for the other party to answer, I wrote them up myself - because he doesn't know the pertinent questions to ask.... He reworded them to "legalese" at a cost of over $1000...apparently, it took him six hours to read 30 questions and add a few words sch as "please define" to each question.
He also wanted examples of "confusion" from customers over the use of two people using the same mark.
I forwarded two emails from two different people asking if I was the other party...
The cost for my leech to read those two emails and do whatever he does with them?
$650. :eek At $250/hour, either this guy reads REALLY SLOW or he's milking me for all I'm worth.
A two minute phone call to let him know he's misspelled my name in the document is $36. The cost of him correcting his mistakes? Don't wanna know...
Bloodsucker.

You have just described one of the things that is so wrong in our nation. Most of the lawyers cannot really do anything nor do they contribute anything. These pricks have manged to get themselves into a position where the mumbo-jumbo bull***** that they call "legalese" allows them to charge outrageous prices. They often take advantage of people at their weakest and most vulnerable times such as divorce, death, or similar.
Most of it reminds me of the "pig latin" that some of the kids would learn at school to make themselves seem above others.
I think that when these guys go into store for a loaf of bread the guy behind the counter should be able to look up and pick out a number and say..."uh...that will be $31.50 please" or when they need a windshield wiper on their car the guy could say "That'll be...$53.75" or whatever comes to his mind.
Also, many lawyers end up in politics or as judges and around and around it goes. Truly the bloodsuckers of society. Okay, rant over.
