Marion Barry kept getting reelected and would have kept on going. He would never ever lose in DC. Some folks had a come-to-Jesus talk with him and begged him to not run again because the city really couldn't take it anymore. Thankfully, Barry agreed and then Anthony Williams, the straightest, nerdiest, whitest-acting black guy finally put an end to the Barry reign. However, Barry is now on the city council, just got off scot-free for years of tax evasion and has a big run in with the police about once every year or two. I guarantee he'd get reelected if he ran for mayor again and that's a major reason why I wouldn't live in that toilet of a city for anything. If I were president of the U.S., I'd live in Virginia and commute to the White House.
