The Safety Devices cage is clearly the best bolt-in/weld-in available in my opinion. As has been pointed out, a custom cage will cost $3-5k depending who does it and how extensive it is. The SD bolt together full cage will provide as much safety protection as a completely welded cage, but it will not provide quite as much chassis stiffness as a completely welded cage. However, it can be easily removed, and for a street car, that's a big advantage.

The SD cages fit very tightly to the A and B pillars, and it could be somewhat difficult to fit a 964 model to a earlier 911 bodiy, or vice versa. Installing their full cage takes some work, but it almost disappears inside the car once installed. The door bars can be removed when not needed for track work, so it is good fit for a street car that sees service in DEs. It provides a lot of confidence to be strapped in with a 5 point safety belt system when driving on a track.
