I've used my motorcycle jack to take my turbo and transmission out. Works well. Jack I have lifts to 24 inches is good for 1000 lbs. and has a 5 ft. t-handle bar for guiding the jack around. The handle is removeable and I did have to put a two-by-four under the bell housing to get the weight off the shift rod in the tranny,but it went in and out in 45 minutes.
