Congrats! Glad to see you get something that you are proud to wear and happy with.
BTW, the band to have is the "round back" as opposed to the "flat back" style on the earlier models. Offered back in the 1960's and 1970's they are hard to find in good condition but really add to the value of the watch. My GMT had it stock and just found enough parts to overhaul it on Ebay a while ago.
All of the recent models have the "flat back" band so yours has what it left the factory with.
